At Tunbridge Wells Rugby Football Club, being part of the community means more than what happens on the pitch. Throughout last season, our fundraising efforts supported two fantastic local causes, with proceeds going to Aspens and the Mayor’s Toy Appeal.

Thanks to the generosity of our players, members, supporters and the wider TWRFC family, we’re proud to have helped support organisations making a meaningful difference to people across our local community.

Supporting Aspens

We were delighted to raise funds for Aspens, alongside the Birkby family, to support the Sensory Room at the charity’s Acorns Day Opportunities Centre.

Aspens provides vital support to autistic people and individuals with learning disabilities, as well as their families and carers. The funds raised will help enhance the centre’s Sensory Room, making it an even more engaging, therapeutic and welcoming space for the people who use it.

Our Club President, Jim Hendley, welcomed representatives from Aspens to St Marks to celebrate the fundraising achievement and present the cheque.

We’re incredibly proud that our fundraising will make a real and lasting difference. A huge thank you to the Birkby family and everyone who contributed to this fantastic effort.

Supporting the Mayor’s Toy Appeal

Our fundraising also supported the Mayor’s Toy Appeal, helping bring Christmas joy to children and families across the Tunbridge Wells borough.

The appeal relies on the generosity of the local community to provide gifts to children who might otherwise go without at Christmas. By contributing to this initiative, we were proud to play a part in helping make the festive season a little brighter for local families.

One Club, One Community

As a volunteer-led club, we’re proud of the role TWRFC plays beyond rugby. From our minis and juniors through to our senior teams, volunteers, members and supporters, our club is built around bringing people together.

As we look ahead to the new season, we’re excited to build on last year’s efforts, aiming to raise even more through our upcoming fundraisers and support even more incredible causes across our local community.

Thank you to everyone who makes this possible. Together, we can continue to make a difference, both on and off the pitch.

One Club. One Community. One TWRFC.
