Tunbridge Wells RFC is bursting with pride as we announce that one of our own, Freddie Jones, has earned a call-up to the England U18 rugby squad for the upcoming 2025 International Series against Georgia — set to take place in South Africa.
From his earliest days playing minis rugby at TWRFC, to rising through the ranks of the Saracens Academy, and now pulling on the iconic England jersey, Freddie’s journey is a remarkable testament to dedication, talent, and the power of grassroots sport.
Freddie’s rugby story began right here in Tunbridge Wells, where he developed his passion and honed his skills among friends and mentors. His commitment and natural ability soon caught the eye of the Saracens talent pathway, leading to selection for their academy program — a stepping stone to the elite level.
This month, that dedication reached a new peak as Freddie was officially named in the England U18 squad traveling to South Africa to compete in the International Series, representing his country with pride on a global stage.
We couldn’t be prouder to have played a part in Freddie’s development and look forward to seeing what lies ahead in his promising career. Your TWRFC family will be cheering you on every step of the way, Freddie!
Congratulations and Good Luck!
The entire TWRFC community is behind you, and we know this is just the beginning of an exciting journey.
