| | SUNDAY 13th DECEMBER 2009 - JUNIOR RUGBY NEWS
U16 Sevenoaks RFC 0 - U16 Tunbridge Wells RFC 20
It was sweet revenge for the Under 16 Tunbridge Wells Squad as Sevenoaks pipped them at the post at the Kent FInal Plate last season.
The Wells Under 16 Junior squad is proving to be a force to be reckoned with have recently sent Cranbrook packing 5 - 34 and today was no exception with visitors Wells dominating the Sevenoaks ground. With three Under 16s regularly stepping up a year to under 17 league games you would have thought that the 16s would lack game co-ordination but the pack was all over the Oaks and the ball.
The backs were also not short of a move - that Jai Kench coaching influence is inspiring to watch and the boys like his chirpy style. But it is a number of ex senior team stalwarts that have built the foundation for these young men to build on. The other Kench, Corcoran and Montgomery are all helping instill that sense of team work and fitness needed in the modern junior game.
This is what the Wells philosophy is all about - throughout the mini and junior age groups - passing on that total team spirit - to a now force of 400+ lads and some lasses.
Scorers today were Joe Westbrook and Lenny Gacuma with Ryan Taylor-Dennehy and step up hero (Under 15) George Montgomery taking a conversion and penalty each. Man of the Match Ted Wakeman

| | ADVANCE WARNING - PARKING!!!
Over the next few weekends the local police will be operating in the area to help prevent illegal parking on yellow lines, pavements, junctions and access driveways. This a positive initiative by the local ward PCSO to try and reduce complaints from local residents and also complaints from our visitors when they get ticketed by the very active traffic wardens.
Police cones will be placed in the area Saturday morning to remind everyone of where not to park. We have been told that traffic wardens may be about if people still ignore the road markings or cones.
There is plenty of safe and legal parking along Forest Road just a short walk from the club.
In our own car park please ensure that you don't block other people in and that the ambulance access is clear (New signs are on there way but the gate is in the corner by the telephone mast).
Thank you for your co-operation in advance and please ensure you pass this on to club members and visitors.
